A little over 50 decorated floats and vehicles drove through Veneta Thursday night, starting on Jack Kelley Drive and winding through downtown.
Animals were also in the parade, dressed in lights and community members handed out candy. The parade came to an end with Santa’s float.
The city of Veneta also held their annual tree lighting on Dec. 6, where mayor-elect Robbie McCoy counted down the lighting. The Veneta Elementary School choir sang Christmas songs followed by the middle school and high school choir.
Santa rode in to visit the children and they lined up, eager to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
