The Elmira Falcon volleyball team played a tough game against Oakridge on Tuesday, scoring the win in front of a home crowd.
The Falcons came out on top, conquering 3 of their 4 sets. They were led to victory by seniors Josey Robbins, Hannah Humphrey and Jayden Breaux.
Coach Tessa Slager was happy with the result of the game and how the team kept competing.
“We won our first two, then lost our third,” Slager said. “But [we] fought back and won our fourth, winning us the game.”
Slager was impressed with the team.
“I’m proud of how the girls played and that they pulled back and won in the end.”
It was a close game for all 4 sets, ending 25-20, 25-22, 17-25 and concluded with 25-22.
The Falcons go on to face Monroe on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
