High School Students Can Set ‘Sail’ with UO Summer Program

The University of Oregon Student Academy to Inspire Learning is a pre-college program available to rising high school students.

This summer, SAIL has a week-long day-only program for rising 9th through 12th graders and overnight/residential programs available for 10th through 12th graders. These programs are free.

The first week will start July 14 and end July 19 and be only overnight/residential. Registration has already closed since the program is full.

Students that sign up for the day-only programs are allowed to attend different groups that will happen during week two, which runs through July 22-26.

These programs include “Addressing Environmental and Social Justice Issues,” “The World of Multimedia,” “Feel the Chemistry,” “Live, Learn, Love Biology,” “Let the Art Do the Talking,” and “Explore the Possibilities!”

Week three will start July 29 and end Aug. 2.

On the third week students can join “Science, Creativity, Technology,” “The Write Solution to Successful Essays,” “Education in Today’s World,” “You’re the Missing Piece to Our Equation,” “Society and Language,” and “Explore the Possibilities!”

Students can sign up until spots are filled.
