The Falcons won it all this last weekend at the Rogue River Classic tournament.
The Elmira boys basketball team played the Sutherlin Bulldogs first on Friday. The games started off slow with the Falcons only being up by 8 at halftime.
Coming out hot in the second half though, the Falcons won the game, finishing 70-33.
Leading the team was sophomore Carsen Adams with 21 points and junior Kyler Colwell with 16 points.
On Saturday, Elmira laced up to play the Glide Wildcats next.
The Falcons came out scoring immediately and they kept the momentum throughout the whole game. They finished the tournament with a 57-37 win over the Wildcats.
Leading the scorers was again Adams with 12 points and sophomore Gaven Grover with 12 points.
“I was expecting this,” Colwell told Falcon News. “We were the best team there and it was obvious.”
After the tournament, each Falcon was awarded with a first place medal. Elmira was very proud of the two wins.
Being the first two wins of the season, it brought the Falcon’s record to 2-4.
The Falcons followed up with a home game on Tuesday, hosting the South Umpqua Lancers. Their next game is on Friday at Scio High School at 7:30 p.m.
