After the Elmira fall sports season came to an end, each sport held an awards banquet. The banquets are held to highlight team awards given to selected athletes.
The Falcon football team finished the season 7-3 after a tragic loss in the first round of the playoffs at North Valley high school. They held their awards banquet shortly after their last game with seven Falcons winning team awards.
Senior Quinton Buckland won MVP, seniors Jonathan Rhodes and Buckland won most inspirational players, junior Zane Clemmer won most improved player, senior Quinton Marshall won defensive player of the year, junior Kyler Colwell won offensive player of the year, sophomore Kyron Smith won best back, and senior Brett Highburger won best linemen.
The volleyball team finished the season 2-18. They had two Falcons win awards.
Senior Lillian Ossowski won MVP and most inspirational player and junior Katie Kilcullen won most improved player.
The Falcons boys soccer team finished the season with a 2-5-2 record. There were five Falcons who won awards.
Senior Brenden Davis won MVP, junior Evan Booth won defensive player of the year, senior Austyn Woolcott won offensive player of the year, junior Owen Booth won most inspiring player, and ninth-grader Jayson Heinrichs won most improved player.
The Falcon girls soccer team finished the season with a 5-10 record, and they had four Falcons win awards.
Senior Iris Frome and junior Mele Turtura won MVP, Frome won most inspirational player, senior Jade Jones won defensive player of the year, and sophomore Emily Weston won offensive player of the year.
