The Elmira Falcons went on the road to face the La Pine Hawks last Friday, winning 56-26.
The win maintained the Falcons’ as tenth in state, guaranteeing a spot in the playoffs.
Senior quarterback Quinton Buckland finished the game with 341 total yards, four passing touchdowns, and one rushing. Sophomore Kyron Smith led the team with 84 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
Other touchdown scorers were senior Donovan Hartley, juniors Kyler Colwell and Keelan Hecker, and sophomore Ali Garza.
Senior Brett Highburger felt the game could have gone better.
“La Pine gave us some things to work on and some things to look forward to,” he said. “Overall, it was a good game. We got the win by 30 points.”
The Falcons next game is this Friday at home at 7 p.m. It will be senior night and the Homecoming game.
