Elmira baseball finished the season off strong for Senior Night on Monday with a league win versus Harrisburg 17-7.
Elmira has done a lot of learning and rebuilding this year. The team has had a tough season with a league record of 6-12.
Regardless of the season, players said the team continued to work hard every day at practice to try to get better for upcoming games.
Junior Austyn Woolcott says, “I’ve enjoyed playing this year but it has been a hard season. I hope that we work harder next year to have a better season.”
The team had a double header against Creswell last Friday at Creswell at 2:00 and 4:30.
The night resulted in a split. Elmira won the first game 8-2 and lost the second, 11-13.
“There have been many ups and downs, but hopefully next year will be full of more ups,” says Junior Quinton Marshall.
