May 8 through 12 was Teacher Appreciation Week.
EHS organized a teacher appreciation breakfast that they enjoyed on the morning of May 8.
“At Elmira High School we have amazing teachers who put their students first. Please join me in thanking all of our teachers for their tireless effort on behalf of our students,” said a post on the EHS homepage.
Falcon News conducted a survey asking students about what teachers they appreciate and why, as well as what they feel the teachers contribute to the school.

She pushes every student to do the best they can even if they don’t want to or isn’t going through the best of times, she shows what I believe is the true Elmira spirit which is no matter what you’re going through there’s always someone in your corner.”
Sophomore Grace Manley

Each and every teacher is unique and has their own teaching style and this provides a wider array of educational opportunities for students to learn through different methods. The teachers at Elmira High School provide a support network for the students. Most teachers I have had here are not merely after your academic performance, but are interested in helping to improve your overall well being and are there to listen.”
