Elmira High School’s National Honor Society has two fundraisers underway for the holidays: Adopt-a-Family and candy-grams.
Candy-grams are available for sale for the next couple weeks, through Dec. 14. Order them for yourself, friends or teachers to show them appreciation.
The candy-grams cost $1 each, or spend $5 to get six candy-grams. They will be handed out on Tuesdays and Fridays for the next two weeks.
The club’s second fundraiser is the annual Adopt-a-Family project. Students are asked to bring in money and gifts to their 5th period classes to support gift recipients. The recipients were nominated from all of the schools in the district, including EHS.
Every 5th period class has been given one member from a family in the community, including a list of wants/needs. Collections will continue through Friday, Dec. 9. The class that raises the most in gifts and money per student will win treats for their room.
Reach out to an NHS member for more information about the fundraisers.
