Along with the announcement of All League Winners, 9th grader Brett Van Damme won an attendance award for not missing any days in the first quarter of the school year.
In an attempt to win early dismissal to lunch, each class competed in a free-throw competition. To start, the seniors beat the 9th graders with 12 baskets to 8.
Sophomores narrowly beat the juniors with 6 to 5, and in a final showdown the seniors beat the sophomores with 18 to 9.
To end the assembly there was an opportunity to win a prize of $100 for anyone who could make a basket from half court.
Many stepped up to the challenge, and none beat it. Out of the four classes no one could make a half court shot and the challenge ended the assembly.
