Social studies teacher Mrs. Wartenbee’s farm dog, Marley, is the best mamma dog out there.
She is a chocolate lab who is five and a half years old. She loves to play with sticks and will sleep under blankets all night long!
Marley is such a good mom that she even convinced a calf to think she was his mom.
“I had a bottle calf a few years ago named Scooter who was the same color as Marley,” Wartenbee said. “Every morning and afternoon, Marley, my little kid, and I would go out to feed Scooter and spend time with him in his pen so he didn’t get lonely. Marley spent so much time with Scooter that he thought Marley was his mommy and followed her and I all over like a puppy.”
Marley even thinks William (Wartenbee’s son) is her puppy!
