Elmira High School teachers, administrators and other staff recently took a pie to the face as part of the schoolwide canned food drive.
The school brought in nearly 600 pounds of food, according to leadership adviser Jon Guldager, and the winning class got to pie the grand prize — math teacher Ken Best.
Other staff members turned targets included leadership advisers Mandy Storey and Guldager, Principal Rick Gardner, Assistant Principal Ricci Huling, teachers Teri Moen, Gwen Harper, Debra St. Hilaire, Bo Highburger, Tom Edmundson, Shannon Hart, Rob Lee and James Monegan, and instructional assistant Courtnie Peeler.
Guldager said EHS Leadership donated the canned food to the City of Veneta’s Love Project over by the senior center.
