Members of the 2022 EHS Homecoming court have been crowned.

The leadership team decorated the main gym with lights and flowers in preparation for Monday morning’s assembly. With the entire student body present, EHS staff members announced the royalty.

Representing the ninth grade are Caydence Farrar and Brett Van Danne.

The sophomore honorees are Katie Kilcullen and Keelan Hecker.

The junior court stars Lillian Ossowki and Quinton Marshall.

When asked if she was expecting a nomination and how she felt about it, Ossowski said, “No, I was not. I feel good, like I’m surprised. I like the crown, it’s nice. It feels good to be a Homecoming princess.”

The senior Homecoming court nominees are Kelly Torres and Jacob Janeczko, Keesha Baldree and Rachel Matthews, and Ashlyn Turnbo and Jack Reichenburger.

Janeczko was asked if he was expecting the nomination, how he feels about it and if he thinks he’ll win Homecoming king.

“I was, I know a lot of people were voting for me,” the hopeful royal said. “I’m happy that I did and it’s fun. I think I have a lot of competition, and it’s gonna be tough to win.”

Votes for the senior Homecoming queen and king are due by 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The link can be found on Schoology.

The winners will be announced at the Homecoming dance from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday in the cafeteria.
