Summer is right around the corner. The end of the school year is here and you can feel the warm summer breeze.
You hear the leaves in the trees howling in the wind, marking a new time of the year. The sweet, natural smell of hot weather. It’s time for fun and play. For some, it’s time for jobs and work.
Graduation has passed. Seniors have left for good on the paths that their lives have shaped. The paths that their parents, friends, family, and teachers have shaped.
Some will go on to do great things and have big plans for the future. Some will fail, but that is only a new breeding ground for new ideas and even bigger plans. Some will return and some we may never see again.
We can’t judge what will happen in the future in these unpredictable times, but one thing is for sure. The students at Elmira will go on to make the world a better place.
So be sure to say your goodbyes when the time is right. Greet the incoming freshman to Elmira. Feed their minds with big ideas and big dreams.
Because if you work hard enough for what you want, you are guaranteed to get it.
